Two Major Car Manufacturers Teaming Up!

In the past, there has been a rivalry between General Motors and Ford, but the 2 companies announced Monday that they will be teaming up. Engineers from each manufacturer will work together to create 9 and 10 speed transmissions that will go into many new Ford and GM products.

A spokesperson from each company has stated that this project will save each manufacturer millions of dollars and will allow them to keep their vehicles priced competitively. Analysts from the auto industry explained that if this transmission is built correctly it can raise gas mileage from 5% -10% on a six speed vehicle.
